Charity Secretary
Hours: Time commitment: Around 4–6 hours per month, including attending Board meetings
Gift of a Wedding is seeking a highly organised and reliable Charity Secretary to support our Board of Trustees and help ensure we operate with strong governance and accountability. This is a key volunteer role for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes.
What you’ll do:
- Support Board meetings: agendas, papers, minutes, and logistics
- Maintain governance records and statutory documents
- Ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements
- Coordinate trustee onboarding, training, and policy updates
- Act as the main contact for regulatory bodies
- Help keep our governance processes clear, compliant, and effective
What we’re looking for:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Good written communication and attention to detail
- Understanding of charity governance (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
