Hours: Time commitment: Around 4–6 hours per month, including attending Board meetings

Gift of a Wedding is seeking a highly organised and reliable Charity Secretary to support our Board of Trustees and help ensure we operate with strong governance and accountability. This is a key volunteer role for someone who enjoys structure, accuracy, and making a meaningful impact behind the scenes.

What you’ll do:

  • Support Board meetings: agendas, papers, minutes, and logistics
  • Maintain governance records and statutory documents
  • Ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements
  • Coordinate trustee onboarding, training, and policy updates
  • Act as the main contact for regulatory bodies
  • Help keep our governance processes clear, compliant, and effective

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Good written communication and attention to detail
  • Understanding of charity governance (or willingness to learn)
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
