Gift of a Wedding is seeking an enthusiastic and strategic Fundraising Chair to lead the development of our fundraising activity and help secure a sustainable future for the charity.

We are a UK-registered charity that gifts weddings to people living with a terminal or life-limiting illness. Our mission is to help people deal with grief by creating positive, lasting memories that bring comfort and strength to couples and the people who love them.

Our vision is that every eligible person should have the opportunity to marry the person they love, regardless of their financial circumstances. 

As Fundraising Chair, you will:

• Lead the development of our fundraising strategy
• Identify new and sustainable sources of income
• Help establish and lead an effective fundraising team
• Develop relationships with businesses, funders and supporters
• Support fundraising campaigns, events and grant opportunities
• Work collaboratively with trustees, staff and volunteers
• Monitor fundraising progress and report to the Board
• Act as an ambassador for Gift of a Wedding
• Champion our values of Compassion, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration and Excellence

We are looking for a creative and collaborative leader with the confidence to build relationships and inspire others to support our work.

Experience of fundraising, income generation, corporate partnerships, events, grant funding or business development would be valuable. Previous charity or committee leadership experience is desirable but not essential.

📍 Location: North West — meetings will be held in person
⏰ Commitment: Approximately four hours per week, including four Board meetings each year
💚 Position: Voluntary, with reasonable expenses paid
